Liked: The only positive thing was the comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean but I feel like that’s basic standards really.
Disliked: My partner arrived from a long haul flight, he was travelling over 20 hours and arrived late at night. I was not arriving until the following day. The room was booked under my name, for two people. There was NO option on booking.com to add the names of the second guest. When my partner arrived the reception wouldn’t let him check in. Instead, I had to spend hours contacting booking.com at 2am UK time which was very stressful and inconvenient for me. Although I’d changed the booking name to his online and verbally confirmed this was ok over the phone he still wasn’t allowed in the room. It took ages to sort out and they finally let him in the room, absolutely AWFUL service and ridiculous rules which caused us a lot of distress. We were charged $12 a night just to park in the car park! You then have to pay more money to ‘rent’ a sunbed at the pool which is very small and basic. The room itself was very outdated, no mirrors in the bedroom, one very small window, lack of natural light and felt claustrophobic. Carpets smelt of feet. Had to ask for replenishment of towels, loo roll. No water provided in the room. Smells in the corridor of food and weed. Dodgy wooden lift. There is no restaurant or food facilities available as falsely advertised in the photos. There is nowhere to relax and no communal areas. Upon checking out, I wasn’t asked if everything was ok during the stay, I was barely acknowledged. I would NEVER stay here again, absolutely awful.
