Liked: What it says on the tin. A clean and comfortable room for the night . Pub downstairs but you don't hear anything. They weren't doing food maybe because of the time of year .

Liked: The location was ideal. Busy but not noisy and very friendly.
Disliked: I could not fault anything about my stay. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to help when I had a problem.

Clean, comfortable value hotel with...

Liked: I would like to epecially commend the staff at the hotel for looking after my mum -who booked seperately- after she suffered a minor incident in front of the hotel hours before I was able to get there. We can't thank them enough. The staff could not be more helpful without exception. The room was clean and comfortable. Very good standard for a hotel in this price range.I also found the staff in the businesses nearby to be very warm and friendly.
Disliked: My single room had a shower and sink but had a private toilet across the hall.I knew this on booking but I might book a bigger room with all facilities if I stayed again. The car park is tiny for the amount of customers using dining facilities. There was little room information nor wifi code in my room: No information on how to contact anyone and other than the housekeeper there was no one around until 10am. There is a liitle bit of tlc needed in places (windows and doors) however, despite this I was very impressed with the hotel. I've worked in hotels all my life including as a duty manager in a major international chain- I was surprised to see a small family run budget hotel operating at this standard.
