My stay of 6 nights...

Liked: The room was impeccable and the Location is amazing, right in the city center of Honolulu and a 2min walk from Waikiki.
Disliked: The air conditioning needed to be dusted because as soon as you turned it on it smelled like dust.

Good location and rooms, but...

Liked: The reception staff were very friendly and helpful - when we checked in we were upgraded to a 'suite' on the fifth floor so we had much more space than we expected. The bed was very comfortable, and the suite included a kitchenette, with basic cooking and coffee making facilities plus a fridge. We also had a balcony overlooking the road. The hotel is located very close to the main shopping street in Waikiki.
Disliked: We stayed on a weekend, and on both nights we were woken by noise from outside the hotel: on the Saturday the noise from from people shouting in the street until around 2am, and on the Sunday there was loud music being played in a nearby bar/club until 2am following by people shouting in the street until nearly 4am. As we had to get up early on Monday morning for our flight out this wasn't appreciated. We don't know how common an event this noise is, and we realise that the hotel cannot govern external factors, but perhaps the windows of the rooms could be double glazed to improve the soundproofing? The continental breakfast offering was quite limited.Without the noise issue, we would have rated it higher at around 7 or 8.

Liked: Awesome location with big bed and very helpful staff who responded to every query asked and even advised on what to look out for when picking up our rental car. Room is clean though hotel is an old building. Very light breakfast was also provided which was very helpful.

Overall, very pleased with the...

Liked: Breakfast was perfect for me since I normally eat light in the morning anyways. My husband however would’ve preferred a little more food but the light breakfast was still enough to tide him over till lunch. I loved the different fruit juices available. The front desk staff and one of the valet drivers were so sweet and went above and beyond for us. After only a day or two of us being there, many of the staff remembered us and details about our previous conversations.
Disliked: We had a really hard time figuring out where the front door was since we arrived so late. The gate was locked and from the road and gps directions it did not look like a hotel entrance. I understand there’s not a whole lot that can be done about that but it was still frustrating in the moment. Also, though I understand the necessity given the location, the required valet was more inconvenient than convenient. If we wanted to stop back at the hotel in between activities, it was more of a chore than if we could’ve parked ourselves. We found ourselves planning our days around minimizing trips to the hotel.
