Hotel did the job in...

Liked: We chose this hotel because it was central and convenient for a lot of attractions in Waikiki, and because it was significantly cheaper than a lot of available accommodation for our trip. The existing reviews are correct about the noise level at night, though we took earplugs as we knew it would be noisy, and the reviews were also correct about the limited breakfast options - toast and banana/apple or very sugary cakes/cereal. We didn’t bother to use the small pool, preferring the beautiful beaches on the island instead. It wasn’t great but it was better than the alternative of paying 1 to 1.5 million yen for 8 nights and feeling like you have to stay at the hotel to get your moneys worth. We explored a lot instead and it was fantastic. The staff were generally very friendly and helpful. We were shocked to be charged 45 dollars per day for parking as this wasn’t clear when booking. The beds provided were also not big enough for the 5 of us so we were provided with a put up bed for my 10 year old. We were told this would be another 30 dollars per night, however thankfully we didn’t have to pay for that extra!! Expect add ons for everything in Hawaii!!!!

Disliked: The room was very small Some paint peeling on exterior and lanai chairs missing straps Breakfast was the most sparse than we’ve ever experienced.. Cold cereal, toast (but no cream cheese or peanut butter), some bananas and apples.

Great family hotel, very accommodating...

Liked: The Staff was amazing! The hotel is smaller than the typical chain hotel which we liked. Just a comfy hotel. Beach towels and sand chairs available. There were a couple washers and dryers (you can purchase soap and get coins from the desk. It is humid there so we went through our clothes quickly. The location was great. There was a great tapas restaurant on the same block, definitely a treat. Here is a tip. Uber from the airport to the hotel. There are convenient self serve car rental places via a local app, the airport takes forever.Sandy Beach great beach near the Halona Blowhole. Earlier in the day less crowded.
