Great view

Liked: The falls view was amazing, spa bath was relaxing after a long night walking looking at the Christmas lights which were so pretty. Charlie the concierge was great value, very knowledgeable of the area, directed traffic and was talking to people whilst we waited.
Disliked: Check in queue was too long, over 1 hour wait, open more counters please. Pillows were below average, more like lumpy couch cushions.

Never booking Oakes AGAIN

Disliked: We booked the Oakes Hotel online because my family wanted to spend Christmas at Niagara Falls. However, on our way to the hotel, I received a call from a lady informing me of a maintenance issue and offering us a stay at the Hilton Hotel instead. Since we were almost there, I didn't want to refuse the offer. Unfortunately, our experience at the Hilton was disappointing. My kids couldn't sleep due to the excessive noise from loud music and other disturbances. Overall, it was a very terrible experience. I want to express my frustration—thanks to the Oakes and Hilton for ruining our Christmas.

Liked: We received a complimentary upgrade to our room, and the fall view was amazing—especially when the fireworks started!
Disliked: There is a lack of security for the door leading to the parking lot, and it's also very dark in the lot itself.The coffee and water station is quite inconvenient for a 4-5 star hotel. We expected a coffee machine, a kettle, and proper coffee mugs and glasses, rather than just four small plastic cups.The toilet tank water was running almost constantly throughout our stay.There were four people in our booking, but only three sets of towels were provided. Housekeeping didn’t bring the additional towels, hangers, and pillows until 6-7 hours later, after a second call to the front desk.Additionally, there were not enough electrical outlets to meet our needs.
