Disliked: Institutional in decor. Bizarre menu (baked beans with a £50 steak!), TV remote batteries corroded; over-priced basic food masqued as fine dining

Good

Liked: The hotel, facilities, breakfast, and staff were great, making for a pleasant and relaxing stay!
Disliked: The main dining restaurant is outrageous. Quality and cooking is nowhere near half of the price tag.

Historic beautiful building

Liked: Location next to a sewage treatment plant gives an awful smell
Disliked: It needs an overhaul, very dated furniture and fitting

Excellent! Just what we needed.

Liked: Interesting property with the most beautiful view to sit and eat breakfast with! Helpful, efficient and friendly staff. Gorgeous breakfast. Very dog friendly. Warm and comfortable rooms and general areas. Excellent spa.
Disliked: Minor issue … bit of a trek to the spa, which is unavoidable because of the build. And, the interior is crying out for some large colorful contemporary art works.

Incredibly relaxing stay in beautiful...

Liked: It was a beautiful building inside and out. Stunning main area with organ, huge windows, enormous ceilings. Nice views at the back and very comfortable room.
Disliked: The spa area was ok but within a leisure centre and felt a bit chaotic and not part of the hotel.

Very average. Would not return...

Liked: Quiet room.. food ok.
Disliked: Staff not attentive . Generally disinterested. Fragments of glass on lounge carpet not swept properly.
