Passable
Liked: The location was perfect
Disliked: They cancelled my booking few days prior to my travel due to closing of the establishment so they moved my booking to another hotel on the next block the thing is that they charged me for this first hotel and the pricing of the other one was way cheaper since it was still under reconstruction, no AC, some walls still under construction, construction noise

The Yygotel is in a...
Liked: We had selected this property but booking was canceled due to operational issues and we were directed to an adjacent hotel - Yygotel. They provided breakfast free upon request. Excellent recently updated room with great new bathroom and new flooring/furniture. Comfortable new bed. Extensive updates occurring during stay including carpeting/flooring but undertaken with little or no inconvenience to guests. Staff excellent. Tradies terrific and helpful too.
Disliked: Nothing. It was clear that the hotel was being significantly upgraded and improved but this was done with minimal disruption to guests, and the staff and tradesmen were helpful when we needed to access and walk via different routes.

Hotel Congress NOT Prinz Eugen...
Liked: We booked two rooms at Hotel Prinz Eugen Wien. The doors were locked when we arrived. I had to search in booking.com app to find a message from Hotel Prinz Eugen that they are closed and had moved our reservation to Hotel Congress. Therefore, this review is for Hotel Congress, a block away from Prinz Eugen.Clearly Hotel Congress is still underconstruction, with untiled walls, wires hanging about, ladders here, bathroom water installed improperly. Hotel Congress will be awesome once it's all complete. I have to give them credit for accomodating our reservation from another hotel. The first family room they put us in only had scalding hot water fom the bathroom sink, and toilet clogged, so they moved us to two separate double rooms which was fine. And because of the confusion with Hotel Prinz Eugen Wien, they gave the 4 of us free breakfast. Our room windows looked right across the street to the main Vienna train station. I loved it, but some people might not like all the traffic noise. Breakfast was amazing in a beautiful space. I liked the tiny little shelf on each side of the bed that had a light and a USB port for charging cell phone. Very handy.
Disliked: Still under construction.

A low point in my...
Liked: I had booked one night at this hotel because close to the station. This establishment had informed only a few days before travelling to Austria, that their hotel was shut down. They offered a 'like for like' alternative at no extra cost to a close by hotel. So I accepted as it was difficult to find a hotel last minute. However the Yggotel Mejse (where my booking was transferred to), was far from the like for like (at least on the basis of what the Prinz Eugene illustrated in their advert). The room provided in the 21st July was 1. very small single, 2. no air conditions (was unpleasantly hot), 3. the tv did not work, 4, the fan did not work, 5. the bedside light did not work, 6, the hot water tap in the sink was to be accessed via the cold water tap (scolded myself in the process of finding this out).7. not clean. When asked, the staff gave a new fan, which worked (not the friendliest of staff, was I a nuisance?).I had an unpleasant and difficult night in the excessive heat, in fact left earlier in the morning, and went to sit at the station for cooler air! My thought is that this hotel, ma be a hostel for immigrant/homeless families. It should be made illegal offering places like this to the paying public, or at least the minimum health and safety standards should be monitored and enforced!Never again please!
