Stayed overnight for one night. Booking was trouble free; hotel is close to the train station; friendly reception staff; comfortable room and adequate breakfast.
Liked: Pleasant staff; close to main amenities; comfortable room.

Awful
Liked: The heating did not work and the room was cold all night. The Bar was empty and no food service. It was like a Ghost Ship. No One on Checkout or any one to talk too. Awful. The room was booked as a premier room and overlooked the bin area and waste collection, despite asking for a room with a view near the lift. Room 349 was a long way from the lift and there was no other person on the wing. Zero Christmas Spirit or warmth from the check in Guy or Bar staff who may have religious beleifes outside of Christmas Spririt. Dead Trousers.!
Disliked: Heating did no work staff were Frosty

my main choice for choosing...
Liked: Novotel in Wolverhampton is very close to the city centre. however The rooms are larger than most city centre properties and certainly the carpark was excellent and very good value at £5 for 24 hours. the breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. The buffet had loads of choices even fresh fruit and the cooked choice had my favourite black pudding.
Disliked: The bedrooms though large, especially for a hotel in this proximity. However pillows were like rocks and there were no bedside lights. In fact there was just one desk light in the main bedroom. It seemed ligh lights had been removed.

Bad
Disliked: We had booked to stay in a kings room turned up on a Friday and was told we were down graded. I have never heard that before. The person on reception was really polite. However, the first room allocated to us the heating was so cold. We were then moved to another room, which was an accessible room. The toilet bathroom area was very smelly. We asked to be moved and the third room the heating was working but we could not get it to the right temperature so i slept in my warm jumper and had to add my winter coat on top of the covers for extra warmth. The following morning, we asked to be allocated our original reserved room. We were then put in one of the executive rooms. The facilities were still not as good as we expected, but at least we had a warm night. We were really looking forward to this stay but very disappointed. Couldn't help but think that our surname was what made us have a downgrading from our original room of choice in the first place.
