a cozy welcome to sydney...

Liked: self serve check in-out was such a great experience with staff monitoring the area for help, although greetings could be friendlier. i stayed here pre-renovation and seeing the difference it was quite litterally a whole other experience. beds were extremely comfortable and room was very cozy.
Disliked: parking was a bit expensive, i'd like a feature on the check in tablets to view parking lot status and if there were any parks left. my only complaint would be not having access to a microwave in the room.

Liked: The room was nicely furnished and decorated, though the space was extremely small for the money. The location was very good for what I needed. The bed was adequate.
Disliked: The space available in the room and the bathroom was non existent for the price you pay for the room. The air con fan was very noisy and I had to request to change rooms at 12:30 am just so that I could sleep due to the A/C rattle noise. The windows didn't keep any of the noise out of the room so there was a lot of addition traffic noise which wasn't nice. This used to be a Travel Lodge (a more affordable hotel), Novotel took over slapped some makeup on it and called it a Novotel. Though at its core it was still a travel Lodge with a Novotel price tag. Very disappointing.

Liked: The location is very good.
Disliked: Didn’t have a tag you could place on the door advising cleaning staff to make up the room. The carpet in the room was very worn and needed replacing. Check in and Check out could be done faster with having more than one person on the desk.

Liked: Right in the CBD. 7min walking distance to good restaurants and waterfront
Disliked: Paid $950NZD for two nights. Not worth the money IMO for the size of the room. A view of concrete wall. Self checkin. The carpets were very old. Our sink took ages to drain. The open shower meant water on the floor which is extremely annoying in a very small bathroom. No room service for breakfast when we rang and asked for some. Could hear the person next door making a tea!

A Perfect Stay

Liked: Close to transit and touristic sites, restaurant and happy hour was very good; hot breakfast was great plus pastries and fresh fruit was awesome; overall cleanliness and daily change of towels was so nice
