Good practical hotel

Liked: Good location and clean.Room was a little bit dated but still clean and tiday
Disliked: Decor a bit dated

We stayed for 2 nights...

Liked: Great location very close to Central Station. Trams run close by. Big rooms Coffee tea and real milk!
Disliked: Do not book this hotel because of the pool it is close to useless and the size of a stamp. Pictures definitely are painting a way better picture than reality. Rooms are a bit tired looking and a bit run down but nothing too bad.Beds were very very soft.Couldn’t get a plate to take to our room… very unusual. Especially when reason was that they don’t want plates in the rooms!! But you do room service!!

An older hotel but clean...

Liked: Loved the hotel, location, breakfast was great & very popular. Check in staff member was wonderful & very helpful. Housekeeping was a little odd - the beds were beautifully made but we thought we must have interrupted them as the bins had been emptied but some things dropped on the floor & the wet, dirty towels were still in the bath with no new towels left? When we asked we were brought one clean towel for 4 of us? Just a little weird & maybe a miscommunication?

Great accommodation, great location, great...

Liked: Sydney Central Hotel managed by The Ascott Limited is such a central location! Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff are always friendly and helpful! I would recommend it as a great, convenient and affordable place to stay. Beds are so comfortable, especially as I have back problems. Choice of pillows on the bed were great as well. Stayed in a double room with the two double beds! Also helps that blinds block out as much light to ensure a great sleep!
Disliked: I found the continental breakfast a bit expensive, and didn't include a barista made coffee - but that is a personal preference and I could have gone anywhere outside of the hotel for breakfast But in saying that the food was yum :)

Liked: Our stay was fine, staff were very attentive and friendly. No issues until...
Disliked: The Wilson car park has major issues. We stayed 4 days (3 nights), parking is not free. I was under the impression it was specifically for guests. I had to pay extra $48 for parking because we extended our stay by one day. We had to drive back to Melb, due to the issue with Wilson's, it delayed our departure by 1hr. The staff at reception couldn't do much, until the Duty Manager sorted it out. She came over to the Wilson's gate and spoke to the Wilson's rep, they finally opened the gate! What a drama

Fantastic accom within walking distance...

Liked: Best hotel brekky I’ve ever had!!! The bed and pillows were very comfy - and I’m sensitive to hard beds.The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and I really appreciated the email comms.
Disliked: The room was too hot overnight and the temperature couldn’t be dropped below 20C via the wall control. I probably should have asked for assistance with this after waking up sweating on the first night…
