I enjoyed my time staying...

Liked: We loved the location of the hotel.
Disliked: For the price of the room I thought that the bathroom was not up to standard, There should have been a shower screen rather than an old fashioned shower curtain.The toilet should also have a soft closing lid.

Not up to Novotel's usual...

Liked: Excellent location.. Best breakfast selection of any hotel we stayed at in New Zealand. Handy in house restaurant and bar.
Disliked: Only way to book a walk in shower was to reserve an alpine view room. Alpine view was less than spectacular. Carpet in room was dirty and stained. Bathroom was the smallest I've seen in any hotel anywhere. Door to bathroom was old and and covered in chipped paintwork. Shower was very narrow, barely one metre wide. Walkway to the lift from reception looked like an entrance to an underground carpark, dirty carpet and doors to maintenance rooms once white doors now dirty..
