Excellent, great hotel, great staff....

Liked: The breakfast was excellent. Great variety & very tasty. The waffle machine was a definite bonus my girls.

Good facilities, decent location

Liked: Great location and walkable to almost everything (although be prepared for the hills and stairs of Edinburgh)! It’s well equipped and the bar is open late and they let you take the drinks up to the room which is perfect. Friendly staff and all round good hotel.
Disliked: You have to book for the pool which is a little awkward when you’re just trying to squeeze in a dip between plans.The cocktail menu in the hotel is seriously lacking given the quality of the hotel. I’ve stayed at lower star hotels with a better menu and more sophisticated cocktails. It just felt a little lazy.The light in our room wouldn’t stop making this clicking noise for hours at night, it was most frustrating.Honestly, it’s very pricey for what it is but all of Edinburgh is pretty pricey!

Liked: The room is well appointed and the beds are relatively comfortable though slightly narrow.
Disliked: Getting into the pool was like trying to break into the federal reserve. They make the process so complicated and also it was extremely chlorinated and the sauna was warm, not remotely hot.

Liked: Comfy bed, good location, pool, sauna, jacuzzi, and changing areas were clean.
Disliked: No longer have a steam room, small changing area at pool which is overlooked by large sauna, no privacy to female changing room if door open and no privacy if more than one person using the changing room. Parents not controlling unruly children in the pool

Disliked: We always stay here but we’re disappointed with the rooms this visit. First one had a very unpleasant odour and though the second was was an improvement it still had an odour and we felt it needed a bit of upgrading. Mattress and carpet. Staff were super helpful
