The bed was comfy and the hotel is pet friendly. Think the hotel is a bit tired and needs an update. Heating didn't work well and the room was cold; shower was poor and barely got warm let alone hot; it then leaked all over the floor as the door seal didn't work. Hairdryer didn't work. Reception didn't really offer any alternatives. Unlikely to stay again.

Exceptional

Decent hotel at a good...

Liked: The room was cosy, comfortable and had all the amenities you would expect (a nice shower, a desk, plenty of lighting, a hair dryer, etc). The location was very convenient for getting between Temple Meads station and other places you might want to go, like the Harbourside, Broadmead, Cabot Circus, Clifton or Stokes Croft. There's a convenience store a short walk from the hotel.
Disliked: The welcome could have been slightly better: waited a while at the front desk to collect our key card (having already completed online check-in). The wait was not acknowledged by the member of staff.
