Disliked: Upon arrival, the hotel looked warm and welcoming on a cold January evening. However, there was no heating on in our room, which is the farthest thing from highland hospitality i can imagine. It took a long time to heat up whilst we sat with our coats on. We requested breakfast whilst checking in, and the girl said she would pass it on. This did not happen. We were offered a very limited "continental breakfast" as a paid extra. The assistant offered to open the kitchen, but we didn't have time to wait as I had a meeting to attend. The facilities were poor. There was no mirror in the room apart from a small round shaving mirror in the bathroom, despite having lots of wall space to put one. There was nowhere to do hair, make up, etc. The assistant brought me a small mirror from one of the other guests' rooms. The place is being renovated at the moment, and the smell of gloss paint was overwhelming. Our stay was very disappointing and extremely overpriced. I would have expected to pay half the rate for the service, facilities, and experience. Definitely aimed at workmen, etc, but should be priced accordingly. It definitely has a lot of potential but has a long way to go.
