Not a comfortable stay

Liked: Pleasant staff and reception. Good breakfast with wide choice of cooked food and pastries. Didnt use the bar for food as we had had a rough day in the weather so wasnt up for a meal.
Disliked: If the bed had not been broken then would have given better scores, but it creaked (and I mean creaked) when you got on it or even moved on it. The main wooden stay from front to back was cracked and so when we got in it was virtually ready to collapse in the middle. There was a wooden stake in that looks to have been supporting it, but had not been fixed and fallen off. It looks like some of the slats that support the mattress had been removed which didnt add to the comfort. As a result the sleep was not very good. When mentioned in the morning, the hotel had known about it due to past workmen having broken it, but still allowed people to stay in the bed rather than trying to fix it or take the room out of circulation.
