Housekeeping needs training/support on room...

Liked: Nice breakfast, plenty of choice. Use of pool was a bonus
Disliked: Room was very very dusty, no tea spoons available on tea/coffee tray. TV was useless as kept loosing picture, but had sound. No bottled water left on second day. Shower gel dispenser close to empty. All reported to main receptionist and only received an apology.

Very good

Liked: I stayed for one night, had a very comfortable and spacious room & bathroom. It was very warm but I felt uncomfortable leaving open the window - ground floor. I think this is something that should be addressed. I ate in the bar that night. The food was fine, as was the glass of wine I had. Breakfast the next morning was the usual buffet fare, mixed quality, but I was unable to try many items. Breakfast service ended at 9.30, but at 8.50 some food had finished & wasn't replenished. I had no time to use the pool, gym or spa so can't comment on them, but they seemed popular. The public areas were very clean and well decorated. Every member of staff I met was very pleasant and helpful

Peaceful and comfy resort

Liked: It is a very quiet location, I liked the elegance of the design and decoration of the hotel. Very comfy bedroom. I appreciated that you don't have time limitations for the spa and towels are provided. The gardens around are lovely. The receptionist Gosia was really helpful, special thanks to her: the bar doesn't warm up anything for you they ask you to go to reception for this, I had a small soup to warm up for the evening- I checked their menu but because of intolerances/allergies it was safer for me to warm up my own container. It's unfortunate the bar declined it. The steam room floor wasn't clean enough.

Nice pool, pretty grounds and...

Liked: Nice pool that was almost empty when I wanted to use in morning
Disliked: The walk to breakfast was quite a trek and if for example I had brought an elderly relative they would have been quite fed up by the time we got to breakfast. Of course we were right at the end of the hotel so I understand this experience is limited just to those at the back block

Appearances can be deceptive unfortunately.

Liked: Lovely grounds. Staff in restaurant were pleasant but it was far too busy as there was a wedding I couldn’t book a table in the restaurant …disappointing. Twin room in c block ok but 3 star quality. Beds not comfortable. 3 star. Reception is lovely….but you only spend a few minutes there. Staff tried to problem solve things eg. My husband has mobility problems and going to c block was too strenuous and staff said I could drive him around the perimeter to be nearer to c block. That was helpful. Bench very much needed en route to c block between reception and c block for the elderly when going from restaurant to their room. Swimming pool good. Warm water and pleasant even when busy.
Disliked: Trays of food left outside rooms for a long time. Door locked for c block for access sometimes but not always when walking around to reception which is much quicker than using inside corridor. This was really inconvenient when mobility problems mean you are stuck. This needs changing with door open at all times. Being told to wait for breakfast table owing to capacity of people. Unable to book dinner table in the restaurant on the day.bar menu provided “ loaded tortilla chips” which had such little additions that it was like just buying a bag of tortilla chips……..even after complaining and getting replacement. ( you just give up). Goats cheese and giant couscous with additions ( hardly any) very boring meal. Food poor in bar. I got the impression that the kitchen had run out of some foods but maybe the attention wasn’t there…..We had to be in the bar as no room in restaurant and football on tv……there were elderly people there, families with toddlers……why the football? Cost of drinks high but this is how you feel when quality of experience is disappointing.
