Northampton Town Centre Hotel by Accor, Northampton

Excellent place to stay; very close to city centre.

Liked: Close to the centre of Northampton. Nice and clean.
Disliked: Lacking a fridge in the room but it’s not a biggy!

I was playing at the Roadmender with my band and booked the hotel through ConcertHotels.co.uk. Because of the check in times we went to the venue first and played our set. Upon arriving at the hotel we were told they had no reservation in our name. Luckily I had a copy of our booking confirmation and the young lady behind the desk was very helpful in sorting out the booking and even gave us complimentary parking as an apology for the inconvenience.

Liked: Decent sized room; clean; comfy bed; good for centre of town.
Disliked: Water pressure not very good on 7th floor.

Liked: The bedroom was comfortable
Disliked: The catering was poor. I dispute the claim that the establishment is Allergen Aware. Nothing was labelled for the 14 regulated allergens. Staff were not aware of my dietary issues, although I had informed them in advance. I could not decide whether they were unaware of the importance of being allergen aware, or they were just disinterested. I did not feel safe eating there.Considering they proudly state they have just undergone a £1.4 million refurbishment, I don't know what they spent the money on. Inside appeared the same as it was last time I had to stay there for work, and the car park is in dire condition.
