Had a lovely relaxing stay...

Liked: The location was just perfect Room was very well equipped loved the filtered water and cleanliness throughout . Staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the swimming pool nice seating around the pool side also nice big jacuzzi .
Disliked: Entrance to the hotel signage rather small Went passed it the first time

Very nice place, but not...

Liked: The property itself was really nice.
Disliked: The way I was treated at lunchtime somewhat soured my experience. I arrived for lunch at lunchtime, and was greeted like an alien, I was asked if I had booked which I hadn’t, but there were only three tables in use. I was shown to my table which was fine then the waitress came back and took my order immediately after taking my order she provided me with the card reader and asked me to pay. I was a little taken back by this, Ive ate alone in many hotels and restaurants as I travel a lot for work and have never been asked to pay before even receiving a drink. It made me feel like I wasn’t meant to be there. Other than that, the hotel and staff generally were great.

Liked: The staff were very helpful, very kind and friendly. The staff were extremely generous to us, as we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. They made our stay very special. Thank you!
Disliked: It was a bit expensive for evening meals and nightly rates, but we still enjoyed our stay. It was a nice treat for us as a couple celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. So we didn't mind paying that bit more.

Liked: Nice reception, bar and restaurant decor. Staff very friendly and informative with the menu. Easy to get to by car. The gym was excellent, with great equipment for all types of workouts. There was plenty of free parking too.
Disliked: The pool area had hardly any seating and once we got in there, we had nowhere to sit when we were not swimming in the pool. There were some chairs piled up with towels by other users, and there were other chairs/loungers that were soaking wet and so you could not sit on them. There was only one very narrow lane for swimming which was quite difficult when there were, at one time, 4 adults trying to swim. It was half term so there were a lot of children in the pool, which is to be expected, although they were allowed to jump in the pool, and throw their pool toys around which impacted on the adult swimmers. There was no staff available to manage this, despite there being clear signs to say that jumping etc. was not allowed. I totally accept that it was a busy time, given that it was half term, but it would have been nice to have had a bit more room for the adults to swim, some staff should have been available to manage those who were not following the rules, and it would have been nice to be able to sit around the pool for a short while, in comfortable seating.
