Magical views and a beautiful...
Liked: The view was absolutely spectacular. Literally everything I wanted in a room with a view of the ocean. It was so peaceful and I could have stayed there forever looking out at the ocean from the jacuzzi tub right by the window.
Disliked: The bed was a little uncomfortable and the room was stuffy (no big deal). We opened the sliding glass door to the balcony and around 4am a huge cloud of weed smoke came into the room. Whatever, we were in Mendocino County and while week isn't at all surprising, the cloud was. It woke us both up.

Great views, professional staff, solid...
Liked: Staff was accommodating and friendly, especially when we ran behind at checkout time. Parking was free, the balcony and jacuzzi were great, and there was a complimentary "grab 'n' go" breakfast available in the morning. The room was clean, the view was gorgeous, and we loved falling asleep to the sound of sea lions and fog horns. Location was great, as hiking trails, beach, restaurants and downtown shops were all a short walk or drive away.
Disliked: The property is a little rough around the edges, which you might expect from a beach-front property. Quick rundown of minor quirks: For some reason there was a stray meal tray sitting on the floor when we arrived. One of the extra sheets we requested was bit torn up and had the word "dog" written on it in permanent marker. On the bottom floor, the room doors face the parking lot just a few feet from parked cars, giving the unit's entrance a motel vibe. Not a big deal, until a car alarm goes off. All minor issues, but not ideal for what was ultimately a $300/night room. One note - this hotel might not be the best option if you're working, as Wi-Fi is very spotty and weak. Lastly, there's no A/C (a big box fan is provided) so dialing in a comfy temperature can be a challenge, especially if you fire up the jacuzzi.
