Comfy Cottage

Liked: The gatehouse was quaint and quiet which was perfect. There was a ton of space, and I really like the large bathroom and extra space with the pull-out bed and television. It was sort of like a small living room.
Disliked: Since I reside in the Carolinas, having a fireplace is such a tranquil experience which is why I selected this room. However, the fireplace was broken which was extremely disappointing as it should have been fixed or guests should be alerted that it's not working before checking into their room. Also, it would be nice to have the restaurant times posted somewhere where guest can access in lieu of having to ask.

Passable

Disliked: No dresser drawers, several electrical outlets inoperative. Dangerous ceiling, dangerous stairs

Good

Liked: Breakfast was very good. Room was contemporary and clean and the staff were friendly and gave us a Happy Anniversary card and complimentary dessert tray upon arrival.
Disliked: King room for two people only had one lounge chair to relax, meaning you had to stay in bed as you couldn't sit together with only one chair in the sitting/TV space. Guests from one of the weddings held at the facility were very loud and rowdy, yelling and singing on the grounds outside of our room from 2:30am-4am. Unfortunately the staff did not address this or politely redirect them to their rooms.

Bad

Liked: Close to my client's site. The restaurant is OK and convenient for evening meals
Disliked: There were bed bugs in my room. I was bitten over 70 ties. While the staff moved me into a new room, this is completely unacceptable, and did accuse me of bringing them into the hotel instead of trying to help my withstand the time i had to stay there

Pleasant

Liked: Staff at reception and breakfast were amiable and pleasant. Bar staff in the evening are more interested in the sports on the tv than helping customers. Breakfast is well stocked and covers all bases.
Disliked: Evening bar staff not great

Loved the location and friendly...

Disliked: Weddings and the Carriage House was loud could hear people in rooms above
