A great stay

Liked: We has a fabulous stay at no64. It’s in the middle of a lovely high street with some lovely restaurants. We had a drink in the bar before we went out the staff and customers were really friendly. The room had just been refurbished it was clean comfortable and very stylish. We would definitely stay again

A great disappointment although the...

Liked: The level of cleanliness was good
Disliked: The first room we were allocated was freezing as the radiator didn’t work. We had to message the manager to get back inside at 23.10 as the property was locked up due to them having a quiet night in the bar. We were given a fan heater which helped, but hardly what you’d expect for what was described as a superior double room costing £125 a night!! There was far too much furniture in a relatively small room.

I would like a refund....

Liked: The man that greeted us was friendly and helpful. Overall the room looked nice at first glance. Decor etc. The bedding was comfortable and clean
Disliked: The bath tub did NOT work. As in there was no possible way for the water to stay in it as the bath plug was broken. This is quite a nice feature to the room so really this should not be an issue to come across. Also we were freezing cold as no heating was put on despite the radiators being on the highest setting. The coffee machine was also broken, this then leaked all over the floor covering half of the room! Needs to be binned if it were my decision. I really think I should be refunded if all honesty. Charging £160 for a room with amenities that do not work at all it not acceptable.

HORRENDOUS STAY

Liked: Absolutely horrendous, on arrival, the manager was very nice, this is not a Boutique Hotel, this is a pub! Very dingy and dirty, grubby going upstairs to the rooms, very dark, stairs carpet dirty, My room Beatrice was so tiny and I kept banging into things. No toilet roll and I only noticed this once I went to bed. Shower tray was very dirty and I found out why, at midnight once I went to bed, the downlight in the shower had water coming out dripping all night into the tray, I THOUGHT THAT COULD HAVE BEEN VERY DANGEROUS WATER SHOULOD NOT BE COMING OUT OF A LIGHT I had to throw all the towels in to stop the tapping all night, could not sleep as bed moved all over the floor. Could not get full access to Wardrobe, as they had a dressing table pushed up against it, very dark room. The other 3 rooms were taken up with our friends who also hated it, if we all had not been drinking we would have left , however could not drive and no where else to stay, needless to say we were all out of their by 8 the following morning , no one on premises through the night so only us 8 people in the pub all night so no one you could complain too. Also they took the payment out of my Bank account the whole amount of ~£595.00 a week before they should have , when all our friends were supposed to pay their own bills, on arrival and no way of getting our money back for such a horrible stay What a waste of £595.00, THIS IS NOT A HOTEL IT IS A DARK DIRTY DINGY PUB, such a shame the Manager was a nice guy and not around for us in the morning to complain too PLEASE REMOVE FROM YOUR WEBSITE I WOULD NOT WANT ANYONE ELSE TO EXPERIENCE WHAT WE DID

I left exhausted as I didnt sleep due to street noise

Disliked: Cold, small room with outside noise due to old/poor windows.

Liked: Convenient location
Disliked: The hot water took absolutely ages to come throughThe noise from downstairs wasnt mentioned before arrival Decor is a little tired, cobwebs on the light fittings.

Great for an overnight stop

Liked: Great location, friendly staff. Good atmosphere in the bar. Close to a number of excellent restaurants.

Disappointing start to our honeymoon

Disliked: No communication whatsoever. We were on our honeymoon and booked to stay the night after our wedding but when we arrived the hotel was closed and no one answered the phone to let us in or responded to any emails the next day. Full payment taken but we were unable to stay and no responses to our repeated attempts to contact the hotel
