Great location, character and lovely...

Liked: The staff were super friendly and accomodating. I called on the day of the booking to see if we could check in early, or leave our bags there before check in time. The receptionist was apologetic that we weren’t able to check in early due to cleaning, but ensured we could leave our luggage. When we arrived the same receptionist was super friendly and helped us get our bags in their seperate luggage room, and as we were leaving she followed us out to say a room just became available. The room was comfortable for the night and clean in a location close to whatever you may need, I.e. restaurants, groceries, transport.
Disliked: The beds were very soft, and would have been better if the wheels would lock so they wouldn’t move when getting into it.

Liked: The location was perfect for a blend of quietness, as well as closeness to public transport and restaurants.
Disliked: Room was a bit small. There were no closests or drawers. Shower stall small and angled wrong.

Well located, tastefully decorated comfortable...

Liked: tastefully decorated rooms with comfortable bed in our heritage king room( mattress was on the softer side but what we like) and even city views from our 4th floor window. Very helpful and welcoming staff
Disliked: The ensuite bathroom was tiny, but modern and clean

Liked: It was very close to the train & shops.
Disliked: The very small bathroom. A taller person would find the use of the toilet difficult. The shower would have been better without one corner being taken up for some reason.

Liked: Great value accommodation. So close to a wide variety of shops. The rooms are probably a tad dated by today's standard, but that's a minor issue. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Disliked: Lack of time to fully explore the area.
