Would highly recommend!

Liked: Staff at Nira Caledonia (Abi particularly) were wonderful. Room was lovely and bed was comfortable. The location was great for us. Close to lovely restaurants but still a bit removed from the hustle and bustle. Only thing that could be improved was the temperature of the shower which was a bit hard to get consistently hot but overall was a fabulous place to stay!

Liked: The red carpet was out for guests and the service matched. The room was beautiful. The shower had a rainfall head with 4 jets on the front. The room had space for two comfy chairs, one provided a view of the garden. Very satisfying full Scottish breakfast. The staff were so friendly and efficient. The young woman at reception is the nicest person I’ve met in any hotel. If you want red carpet treatment, this is the hotel for you.
Disliked: I can’t find any faults.

Amazing

Liked: Staff were lovely, friendly, nothing was too much bother. Stayed in the junior suite which had glass door out to a garden, it was lovely and relaxing
Disliked: No parking only street parking and not a lot of free spaces

Great little hotel in Stockbridge,...

Liked: I have stayed in Nira Caledonia before and really liked it. Staff are very friendly and helpful. You have to be prepared to walk up some steep steps, which was fine for me. The rooms are small but very comfortable and the bathroom is great. Both times my room has been very quiet. The continental breakfast is excellent! This time I also had dinner in the restaurant, which was very enjoyable. Next time I come to Edinburgh I will certainly consider staying in NIra Caledonia again.
Disliked: The heating seemed to have a mind of its own. My room got quite chilly in the evening and the staff did everything they could to rectify it - even brought an electric radiator to warm the room up (thank you so much), which I turned off before going to bed. At 3.00 in the morning the main heating suddenly came on!
