Liked: The property itself was beautiful & right on the lake. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The vibe was very quiet, peaceful - perfect for couples trying to relax. The location was great as well & close to everything.
Disliked: The property seemed to be well maintained on the first look but the pool was kind of dirty, the hot tub as well & the lake area in front of the suites was full of trash. In addition to that there lots of insects and huge spiders in the room making it difficult to relax at times. I expected more for this price.

Liked: Very comfortable, we were part of a wedding party. Beautiful location, grounds, great staff, food. All you would want and need when traveling.

Liked: When I saw the pictures of the place I felt in love with the room, when you arrive it's indeed a beautiful view to the lake, it's comfortable, relaxing, and refreshing.
Disliked: The things I dislike, there were thousands of mosquitoes after 6 pm, in the shower the water didn't drained well.

This was the worst possible...

Disliked: This was the worst possible experience my family and I have been through. We booked a three day weekend in a room with a lake view and a hot tub with lake view. To our surprise on our first day when we checked in, they moved our reservation to a room with a street view and they charged us for the change of room. We stayed because we had a long trip and we were very tired and wanted to tour and enjoy the town. On the second morning of our stay, around 9am the AC and all electrical went out on the entire property. Please keep in mind it’s June and the temperature was well over 100 degrees. The rooms have no ventilation and the property manager told us the situation with the electricity was going to be fixed within 30 minutes. It was 5pm when we decided to leave and cut short our vacation. The heat was unbearable and the manager was horrible. We were being told the electricity was not their problem. If you are charging $400 a night, I think the least you can do is to have backup generators. The end of the story is the hotel refused to return our money for at least one night. We spent a total of 24 hours in the property and were charged for three nights. So we paid $18,000 pesos for one night. The second day we spent it walking around town until the AC was being fixed, but as you know it never got fixed. While we were checking out, several families were checking in and they were being told the same story we were told. The AC will be fixed in 30 min. This hotel or club is the worst. Please do a favor to yourself and do not stay in this hotel.HORRIBLE!!!!

Beautiful place to stay

Liked: Beautiful setting in tropical gardens, big pool and spacious very comfortable room (with large sofa, coffee machine etc). Friendly staff. 15mins walk into Ajijic for restaurants and a small town with great character.
Disliked: Nothing!
