Highly recommended, no-fuss hotel close...

Liked: Great, efficiently run, no-fuss hotel, but still with enough of a personal touch. I really like the NH hotel chain. Consistently high quality, spacious rooms (I had a superior), well kitted out (kettle, fridge, bottled water, Nespresso machine with coffee pods, tea bags, milk, etc), bathtub as well as big rain shower in bathroom, very comfy bed and pillows, temperature perfect, windows that opened to let in fresh air. Staff efficient and friendly. Nice area, very handy for Atocha, Retiro. Will happily store your luggage if you arrive early or want to go off and do something on the checkout day.
Disliked: Nothing to do with the hotel, but the NH online chat facility was not accurate in the information given prior to my trip. Staff at the hotel put them right though, via email, and gave me the answers I needed.

Well located city centre hotel...

Liked: Chosen for its proximity to Atocha station. Although the room was on the small side (not unusual for city centre) it did not lack the extra touches such as full range of toiletries and the first place on a 3 week trip to provide tissues. Loved the chocolate on arrival and the Parma violets. Good breakfast and always fresh drinking water in the lobby. And last but not least - luggage storage.
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: The hotel was superb. good room and good staff.they had a welcome drinks corner,choclate and fruits as part of it for guests which guest could pick up for free.staff were very cooperative.They even loaned us chargers as ours were not working.Book this hotel without any doubt

Great Location

Liked: NH Atocha is beside the main Station and in easy walking distance of major art galleries and other attractions. The hotel is B&B only allowing full flexibility to eat according to taste and budget. The staff are very helpful

Liked: STAFF. All staff from reception to breakfast staff to the cleaners were professional, friendly and engaging.LOCATION. Conveniently located close to Atocha train station; basically across the road. ROOM. The room was clean and well appointed for a comfortable stay, including a coffee machine and electric jug.
Disliked: Nothing to complain about
