Clean and neat
Liked: Our room for 3 was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a square surrounded by some restaurants and grocery stores. Although not close enough to the most popular spots in Amsterdam, you can easily have fun around. You can take the tram to/from Amsterdam Centraal train station for a very cheap price and arrive in less than 10 minutes.
Disliked: The heating is set to a very low temperature so as to work only for a couple of minutes and then turns itself off. We had to call reception to fix it and heard they call our request “extra heating” which was, believe me, not “extra” for cold weather of December. Elevators were also kind of unsafe when their floors were slippery due to wet-cleaning and their opening to use before drying. There were only one pair of single-use slippers in our room for 3.

Couple of nights stop over...
Liked: Great location within a restaurant locality.
Disliked: Nothing really with the deception of a power outage which affected our breakfast on the second morning. Not the hotels problem really though.

Central location plauged by loud...
Liked: The location is central. It is near many viewpoints as well as a tram stop across the street. The beds were reasonably comfortable. The shower had decent water pressure. The fridge in the room was helpful for drinks.
Disliked: It was extremely frustrating that the room HAD air conditioning; however only heat was available. We specifically booked this hotel due to the availability of the AirCon. Additionally, it was exceptionally loud outside the windows, so the only way to sleep was with them closed. However, it was so hot in the room (28 degrees C) that we were forced to open the windows. Why have a hotel this large if you do not allow for basic comfort of guests, especially if advertised and knowing there is a loud dance festival and loud square below.
