Lovely independent inn

Liked: Great to be in an owner run Inn. Parking a bit of a trial. Try for room 4 if you are a light sleeper, not roadside. Restaurant not open every night so do check as choices in Sherborne are v limited in winter

Convenient location, clean, and friendly....

Liked: Perfect location for my meal and visit
Disliked: Dated decor, could easily be amended by a lick of paint, get rid of the terracotta, get bigger TV in room and update the lobby too. Aldi unfortunately the overwhelming smell of fat and fried food hits you as you enter. Needs new paintings/ cushions/ modern furniture. Felt like going back in time. And whilst good value and nice people, a premier inn sadly is better.

Liked: Wonderful stay at Newell. Excellent location to get into town, very clean room and bathroom. Comfortable room with good facilities. A lovely stay!

We got lucky to find a spot, when it advertised, free parking!!No Coffee and Tea facility within the room, but down the outer corridor for all.Breakfast is not included.No hairdryer in the room, or socket near a mirror to use your own.The room was unbearably hot with no way of switching the heat off.Traffic noise if the window was openThe owners, were vaguely polite, but far from welcoming.The WiFi did not work. We tried twiceAt £94.00 for the night, this was far from what one would expect.We will not come here again.
