Very exhausting for an 81...
Liked: I didn’t like the fact that TSA staff and manager did not recognize the electronic emergency travel document issued by Kuwait government in place of my lost Kuwait passport, on an App. I pleaded for hours with TSA to let me proceed to board my flight . I had my boarding pass and luggage checked in all the way to Kuwait . But the airline had to unload my luggage and cancel my boarding pass. The next I traveled from JFK to Kuwait using the same emergency e-travel document. Some country but different TSA staff, different policies and procedures . What a shame.

Closest hotel to the airport,...
Liked: Nice lobby and good check in experience, very close to the airport, but still needed an Uber to get there so from that perspective, you can book any of the other hotels nearby as you need an Uber either way. There might have been a shuttle, but I did not ask for one.
Disliked: The rooms are dated and uninspiring. Felt like any other airport hotel I've stayed in.

Good for a layover
Liked: Fantastic for a layover before an early morning flight from Newark Airport. Comfy and quiet. The staff however were obnoxious and unhelpful. After a long flight and a few hours only to get some shut eye it kinda sucked to be fobbed off when I said the scanner in the shop wasn’t working: Self serve only. Spent 5 mins trying to buy a yogurt, scanning, cancelling and trying to scan again, asked for help from 2 members of staff to be told with derision “it won’t scan as it’s on a button on the screen” but I looked-it wasn’t - and when I tried to tell them they tutted and walked away… maybe they were having a bad day…but I ended up hungry and angry and going to bed.

No human or problem solving...
Liked: I wish they had found my booking and let me check in
Disliked: The receptionist couldn’t find my booking despite many proofs that I had booked and paid my reservation. Another example of mediocre critical judgment leading to poor customer service. Couldn’t see a real desire or will to help find a fair solution. It was more like “figure it out, thanks, good luck!”I think I have just been blackmailed. There were a lot of cancelled flights that night. I paid a lower rate than the one they were charging people dropping in. Ended up spending 1h of my time there for nothing and sleeping at the airport.
