Very Disappointing
Liked: The size of the room. The bed. The friendliness of the housekeepers.
Disliked: The management were impossible to work with in resolving a problem. I needed to switch to a different Marriot closer to my event in midtown. Even though I booked through booking.com, the folks at booking.com were helpful and allowed me to cancel with no cost from them. However I talked personally to Harriet and she would not allow me to move my reservation to another Marriot without paying a steep fee of one nights stay. She did not offer any assistance or possible solution. So….even though my son lives in Brooklyn and I will visit again, I will not stay at your hotel. Nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Better options elsewhere. Disappointing for...
Liked: We liked there was a place to hang out in the lobby and bar area as rooms are small.
Disliked: The beds. They’re small double beds for 2 people to sleep in. Horrible for two teens to sleep in. Before I booked I was told there was a sofa bed in the room I booked but there wasn’t. I had to ask 3 different staff on two days for a fold out and had to chase it.House cleaning was random. They tried to clean our room at 8am on New Year day?? And then often it wasn’t clean at 5pm when we came back from a day and they offered to clean at 530pm. Poor management of time and staff.Location wasn’t great, fast food choices were the main options and the hotel doesn’t offer food during the day.

Roomy, quiet alternative to Manhattan...
Liked: Room was spacious compared to Manhattan hotels. Big bed. Long couch. Lots of space to spread out in terms of tables, closets, etc. Had a 20th floor room, so no noise issues. Within walking distance of many restaurants, stores, etc. You get a $30 per day voucher at the restaurant/breakfast nook in the lobby. Very efficient and convenient.
Disliked: Nothing really to quibble with. We were visiting family in Brooklyn, so never went into Manhattan, but if you're planning to visit Manhattan sites like Central Park, Broadway, museums, etc., it's long, expensive cab ride each way, so probably keep that in mind.

great hotel, friendly staff, excellent...
Liked: The room was great, back of the building, silent, great attention from the staff. The hotel location optimal, a couple steps from the subway, easy to access even in rainy days, the staff offered everything we could ask for.
Disliked: the room was too far from the elevator, there is only one set of elevators, and our room was way to far from it. There is no breakfast included, BUT if you pay atention to the advices of the staff you could get the best of what you pay.
