Service very disappointing
Liked: Breakfast ok location good grounds and setting good
Disliked: Service for evening meal. Under staffed . Badly trained. Menu not clearly written and due to low lighting not able to read anything not written in bold . Bought the meal package . First menu had no dessert on it when offered dessert menu we asked if part of package ensured it was . Subsequently told we didn’t have the package which we assured them we had which was embarrassing. Eventually it was agreed we did have the package the misunderstanding was due to system not updated.We had to wait ages for dessert which we had to chase up. We left thinking we had paid only to be chased by a member of staff as we owed for supplements that we were unaware off. Found it totally embarrassing and put a dampener on the weekend way so won’t eat there again. Lack of staff in the bar too so had to wait for someone to man bar

Nice, clean but should have...
Liked: On the grounds of the mansion and being able to walk through and die their art, dog friendly
Disliked: Jacuzzi was cold, the dinning hall and bar lacked soul and intimacy. Despite being a major draw card. Having music to match the genre of art, candles or fireplaces (even if artificial electric), some waiting class could have been better in their silver service as they were polite but sounded like some random lads pulled off the street- have a more posh factor to reflect the venues history and prestige. Chef and good very good- just need better trained table staff and make the ambience rememberable and authentic
