Hotel Description
The New Lanark Mill Hotel is part of UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hotel has spacious rooms with attached bathroom a restaurant bar and swimming pool. New Lanark is a small 18th century village designed as a model industrial center. Today the mill buildings school and workers' homes have been converted into shops museums and the New Lanark Mill Hotel. The rooms and the rooftop garden both offer stunning views of the river and the surrounding Conservation Area. The restaurant overlooks the River Clyde and offers traditional Scottish dishes from a cooked breakfast to afternoon tea. As well as the 52 foot swimming pool there is a modern gym sauna and steam room. The hotel has received awards for its environmental policies and disabled access. The village is an hour's drive from Glasgow or Edinburgh and the Mill Hotel is just 1.4 miles from Lanark Railway Station.

Excellent stay in a delightfully,...

Liked: Large comfortable and well appointed room Hotel was warm though the weather was freezingBathroom large with large , soft towels Car parking easy at front of hotelExcellent breakfast with efficient and cheery staff
Disliked: Menu at dinner did not accurately reflect the dish, i.e. roast vegetables were identical to seasonal vegetables. Instead of accepting the point the waiter insisted they were roasted. Advertised price on booking.com, the hotel and other sites at the time of visit was more than £100 less for the 3 nights than I had booked on booking.com 6 weeks in advance. It was too late to cancel my booking by then. Customer Service have still not replied to my messages about this.

We can’t wait to book...

Liked: Beautiful building and so comfortable staff were so happy and friendly , bedrooms so comfortable and views of the river were amazing lovely and warm . The Restaurant was delicious and great service and atmosphere . Bar cocktails were delicious bar staff very chatty . and on return to our room we we slept with windows open and had the best sleep listening to the water woke up so refreshed . Had breakfast which was more than delicious and plentiful options hot and cold we had both . Value for money was exceptional, we went a nice fresh walk before leaving we can not recommend the hotel enough x
Disliked: No complaints at all although would be nice to have sirloin on menu . And my husband would have preferred a Scottish pint of lager but no complaints just a suggestion .
