Liked: The property is stunning. The rooms were lovely. Loved the spa! The breakfast was the highlight- it was amazing! All the staff were so lovely! Mo, Scarlett etc.
Disliked: Overall everything was fab! I was just a bit surprised that on our last night I had a 0% gin and lemonade and it came to £18. I was really shocked. There was also service charge on there when I stood and waited for it. My husband was drinking double rum and cokes for only £13, no service charge, and we never paid for service on any of our other drinks that we collected ourselves at the bar. I asked the gentleman at check out and he couldn't help us but it just left a bad taste in the mouth. You can buy a bottle of that 0% Caleño stuff for £14 on ocado! I'd have rather had a diet coke for that price. £18 for a 0% g&t! No one could believe it.

A lovely stay

Liked: A beautiful hotel, our room was lovely and the four poster bed was very comfy. All staff we engaged with were very nice, warm and welcoming
Disliked: The spa facilities were nice but was smaller than expected, there weren’t many in there but because of the size it felt quite busy and loud.

Disliked: There was a gentlemen on breakfast who is very rude, not friendly at all given the quality of the reception staff , he really let them down, also had to get my bathroom cleaned again? There was soap scum over the walls, reception staff were brilliant and helped me but disappointing it had to be highlighted

Liked: The setting is amazing, with excellent features and so much history. The staff were brilliant, reception staff especially good, thank you Chelsea. The Spa was so good, I will definitely be returning!!The food was of a very high standard in an incredibly comfortable restaurant.Well worth the stay, thank you to everyone!

Liked: Irreverently humorous waiter (Mo) in the restaurant, beautiful setting, staff excellent without exception. Food quality generally good, though three out of four in our party asking for the whites of eggs to be cooked until they were not 'snotty' failed repeatedly. The ladies raved about their fabulous massages from Tia and Claire.
Disliked: The hammering on the door next to ours at 3 am for some bloke getting room service. My wife awoke startled, thinking somebody was breaking in. The sticky toffee pudding that was cold in the middle as it clearly had not been microwaved for long enough. The pool and spa involves a short walk outside in inclement weather.
