FRIENDLY LOCAL INN OFFERING A...

Liked: For travellers on the A66 between England and Scotland, this recently renovated village inn, just off the A66, offers a welcome change from standard chain hotels. Managed by an enthusiastic young couple, with a friendly and helpful staff, this inn is the focal point for the local community. Excellent home cooked food and a welcoming atmosphere are important elements in this success. For guests, the bedrooms, although smallish, have been comfortably furnished and well-equipped, as are the en-suite bathrooms - ours having a good-sized shower.
Disliked: Not much really.
