I was surprised at how pleasant the interior was given the scaffolding outside. The historical bicycles etcetera were intriguing as was the lovely van in the quadrangle. I had no idea what to expect from the hotel and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I would stay there again.

Liked: The room was in a quiet spot; clean and the reception staff very helpful.
Disliked: No. All good.

Breakfast left a lot to be desired.

Liked: Replacement room was much better. Receptionist very helpful and polite.
Disliked: First room was very claustrophobic and unsafe as there was window access to flat roof.

Liked: Negatives - Bathroom was freezing as no radiator in it. Bed sheet didn't fit the bed as too small. Shower head needs a clean as water squirting over the top of shower screen on the floor. Mattress very uncomfortable. Found a long grey hair in our bed. Corridor outside of bedroom smelt like rotten drains. Room description said there would be an iron but there wasn't. Bedroom was over the top of laundry... Woken up early by the sounds of laundry machines Positives - staff nice. Lovely bar area. Good night out in town centre

Excellent, great staff.

Liked: The hotel was very clean staff were very friendly. The bar was excellent with a good choice if drinks. The hotel is central to restaurants and shops in the city centre.

Passable

Liked: Excellent location, being in close proximity to public transport, shops and the Cathedral. Bed was too soft, pillows were lumpy, shower only has one speed and room smaller than what it appeared in photos. The hotel always felt deserted.

Superb

Liked: Perfect location for all the museums, docks, shops & eating. Nice comfy rooms with a microwave, fridge & crockery if you didn't fancy eating out (although we did!)Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money, will definitely visit again later in the year.
Disliked: My only suggestion, rather than criticism, is that it would have been nice to have some coat hooks on the wall of the room.

Disliked: As usual, (after my seventh stay there), I don't like rainbow showers, and I don't like the chairs in the double rooms.

Great my third time there

Disliked: Location as long as I am on ground floor

Disappointed with alarms waking us...

Disliked: On 1st entering the room we noticed how cold the room was, radiator didn't work but there was an addition heater on the wall ( took a while to heat up ). At approximately 4.00am the fire alarm sounded in our room & then again 20mins later, we phoned the 24hr helpline with no reply & then again minutes later with still no reply ( really couldn't sleep after that ). Really glad there was no REAL emergency.
