Disappointing

Liked: The staff and proprietor were really friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very nice and satisfying, the location was very good with a nice atmosphere.
Disliked: The hotel was a bit tired and dated, widows in room were draughty and needed cleaning the bed was uncomfortable and needed a topper or new mattress, the long steep stairs to the rooms was extremely difficult and really needed a lift of some sort,the shower over the bath did not have a wall hook so it had to be held whilst showering, only one bedside light for reading, the overbed light was not adequate for this purpose all in all a bit disappointing for the money paid.

Liked: Traditional pub with accommodation. Lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful.The accommodation could do with updating and draightproofing in the room we were in but we understand this is the last room to be upgraded with new windows.

Liked: Loved every minute, and the food was sooo good! Staff were friendly...So lovely to stay somewhere that's dog friendly and the hosts have dogs too.
