Friendly staff and clean room...

Liked: All staff were friendly and welcoming. The evening meal and breakfast were lovely. The lounge area was lovely and a bonus live music in the evening was great.
Disliked: It's such a shame about the hotel being run down. First impressions of the rear car park made me hesitant and it clearly requires some much needed TLC.

Liked: The villiage the hotel is located in is quite nice.
Disliked: The website pictures give a false impression of a property located on expansive green grounds, it is not. It's located in the village, next to a street. The picture is actually of the grounds across the street, taken in such a way to obscure the road and make it seem like one big property.The hotel and room, although clean, was very worn and dated.There was also a dog alone in the room across from me and my family, that would whine when things got quiet long into the night, making it difficult to get to sleep.

Liked: The hotel itself carpets furnishings were rather dated/worn but the staff, service and location were great.Also the cover photo is rather misleading giving an impression of a drive but in reality the hotel is right on the road.

Liked: A very olde world hotel from 1897 with outstanding views of rolling hills & dales. The township itself was beautifully quaint, surrounded by beautiful old homes.
