In the Heart of downtown...

Liked: The hotel (dorm rooms converted) are decent for sleep, but you should pack your own pillow and essentials (drinks, snacks, toiletries, and extension cords). The best part that it is centrally located downtown which makes it very easy to get around. Close to subway, bus, and rail systems. I typically book here due to its affordability and proximity to nightlife. Breakfast is okay, however, there are several local stores, restaurants, and a supermarket within 2-3 blocks range of the hotel.
Disliked: After 10pm you need to show your ID for entry. I understand this is to deter people of the street from entering, but can be an inconvenience. Also, they are now charging to hold bags after check-out. They never did that before. If only they did renovations to the rooms and bathroom, this would be a hidden gem within the city.

GOOD.

Liked: Enjoyed the downtown location not far from Dundas and College stations. Very suitable for the solo traveler! Breakfast is a plus enjoyed it!
Disliked: The laundry card was a downside for me, but oh well. It does get warm at night, but there is a fan in the room.

Terrible hotel. Booking.com sucks. Never...

Liked: The hotel is in a great location, but there are other nice hotels in the vicinity.
Disliked: The facilities were terrible. I arrived in the middle of summer, and the only form of air was a fan in the room. Wasn't advised of that prior to the trip. Anticipating a wonderful stay, I happily paid for the week - big mistake!! I couldn't sleep the first night, between the heat and the mosquito in my room, I was miserable. I checked out the next day. They wouldn't issue a credit for the nights I didn't stay. Booking.com was zero help. They did not have a number to call. I tried emailing them, and they didn't respond. I'll never book with booking.com ever again.
