Very good

Good value & location but...

Liked: Location, I stayed here before. In general the room was clean but see comments below about fresh construction materials odors, etc. .
Disliked: There was no info provided at the time of booking that the hotel was doing a major renovation and there was work on the interior and early noise at 6 a.m. waking everybody up. It was unavoidable but unpleasant that there was a lot of construction material odors in the hallways and the rooms that made this stay much less Pleasant than it might have been.

We will come back but...

Liked: We always love staying at the National. The staff is always nice and so friendly. The location is great for our visits as we love all the different little towns in Amador County.
Disliked: Our room was located directly below the construction. While we were advised about the construction (upon arrival, not beforehand) and that it would not take place till 8am, that was not the case as we were awaken usually around 6am. The morning noise was so terrible we had to leave our room much earlier than planned.We are headed back and booked next month but they assured us it should all be done.
