Liked: This hotel is just beautiful! The staff is great and the food at the restaurant was delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel, well located, great...

Liked: The historic hotel is beautiful and centrally located close to food and shopping in downtown Nevada City. The staff was excellent and the amenities (coffee, water, and muffins available every morning in the Grand Lounge) were very nicely done.
Disliked: The room was well appointed but the hot water in the shower was closer to warm than hot. And keep in mind an historic hotel means in the Winter it is drafty and the rooms can be chilly.

Management was very understanding of...

Disliked: Our hotel room was assigned the wrong room number in the system and a hotel staff member walked into our room in the middle of the night not realizing there were occupants.
