Great inn, excellent staff, &...

Liked: The grounds were surprisingly large and varied for a great stroll. The house itself was great and reminded us of an inn that features in a TV show we enjoy. Our innkeeper was so helpful and nice it really made a good stay great.
Disliked: At no fault of the property, the varied traffic can make it a wait to enter or exit the property. This is just something to know and plan for.

Liked: We loved absolutely everything about our stay. Our host, Mimi was exceptionally sweet who made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. Not to mention our breakfast was outstanding! We would definitely recommend this place for anyone who loves a beautiful bed and breakfast stay. Very homey, comfortable and relaxing!

A home away from home.

Liked: You had the use of the home and able to stroll in the beautiful garden. Mimi was a perfect host and made a fresh and delicious breakfast. It was sad we had to leave early and miss the second day of breakfast. We were able to make coffee and there was a fruit bowl with fruits from the garden available. Looking forward to staying there again on our next trip!
Disliked: If you want to walk around St Helena, it is not close to the downtown region. It is a great location to all the wineries; centrally located.

A Bit of Solitude

Liked: The location, of course. The homey feel, and comfortable seating areas. Easy parking. Large room with a King bed. The spacious grounds. And, Mimi’s excellent breakfast!
Disliked: It is difficult to see the driveway during the day, and almost impossible at night.

Poor value for the cost

Disliked: Be prepared for an old-styled farmhouse albeit with pretty gardens. For check in, had to dial the owner who made her way to the entry room. Rooms are adequate but don’t expect anything more than average accommodations. For breakfast, we had to specify our time. Eggs frittata, fruit, uninspiring toast. Okay but totally overpriced at $600 for one night. St Helena was a nice town to visit but next time I’ll look for different lodging.

Terrible! The whole place needs...

Liked: We really tried to find something positive to say but I just cannot find anything.
Disliked: This hotel is dated, dirty and in need of general upkeep. The grounds are overgrown. Our room had a dirty ceiling fan, blinds that were broken, an old wall unit air conditioner that struggled to cool the room, someone else‘s body hairs on bed sheets, a hole in the pillowcase, and heavy grease build up on kitchen on the canisters on cabinets. The furniture is dated as well. For $600 a night, I’m appalled.
