Great hostel for theater district...

Liked: Had a very good experience at this hostel. Clean and felt safe. The fact that it had a women only floor was fantastic, and the security was on point. The room and bed were clean and comfortable, as was the shower and sinks. A 10 walk to the theater district and Times Square, which was ideal for me.

Liked: Location, price and female only floor
Disliked: No general area to socialize/co-mingle with everyone, bunks make noise going up and down top bunk and ladder hurts your feet.

Good place to be staying...

Liked: How smooth everything was
Disliked: The fact I could not check in early

Great location and good value...

Liked: The location is perfect: right in Manhattan and close to Times Square and Central Park. There is also quite some privacy in the bunk bed.
Disliked: The fact that you have to be silent in the common area's. I assume this is to ensure that everyone can sleep peacefully, however, this also creates a lonely atmosphere. It's almost like this place has no soul. I guess it's normal for New York, but if it was not for the location and value for money, I would have chosen another place.

Good hostel in the centre...

Liked: It was very clean. I felt really safe. It was quiet, which is important to manage the jet lag. The bathroom was clean and with nice standard. Kitchenette equipment was really good. It's good to take a padlock with you, to secure your locker or for the luggage storage (but I believe you can buy one there as well).The stuff was really helpful, when I arrived no one was present in person but my case was handled over an online call.
Disliked: The bed mattress was suuuuuper soft. As other comments said, you are given only a pillow and a blanket to sleep with - luckily I brought my own blanket with me as well. I find the blankets they propose a bit unhygienic.The room was really hot with no option to regulate Aircon.
