Would not recommend this lodge...

Liked: the setting was lovely and the staff were very helpful, hard working and kind
Disliked: On entering the room we booked there was blood on the toilet and a stool in the toilet, the room was shabby, no proper shower no shower curtain, it was noisy at night and the pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable, wardrobe broken handle on doors and chest of drawers broken handles no hooks to hang up dressing gown no shelves in bathroom to put toiletry. the bar area very dated and uncomfortable the whole place needs some love and some would never recommend to a friend - the jacuzzi has broken tiles where my friend cut herselfthe staff were lovely and helpful for a £159 double room we were very disappointed - staff tried their best to put things right and were amazing but this was the worst experience in a hotel stay we have ever had

Disliked: Bistro food a bit limited and bar food was the same, would have been nice to have a choice of ‘pub food’ in bar in evening.
