Passable

Cheap, dirty and rude staff....

Liked: Bare minimum was met in terms of the provided facilities.
Disliked: The bathroom was filthy, the shower curtain looked moldy. There was no hot drink facilities in the room. All of the decor was incredibly outdated and not well maintained so it felt quite uncomfortable especially when laying in bed. Upon entry you are asked to fill out a form providing personal info etc. and there is a tick box on the form asking about whether you would like cooked breakfast. Me and my wife both ticked the box however when I came down for breakfast in the morning they said I hadn't pre-booked it and they were rather rude to me about it. Apparently I was supposed to pay for it at the reception the day before but the receptionist didn't inform me of this so I didn't have any cooked breakfast. The waitress that was serving went to the desk to ask if I had paid and when she returned she didn't inform me anything so I was sat waiting assuming my breakfast would be served however this was indeed not the case. The options offered as a continental breakfast were extremely limited and the pastries were definitely not fresh nor made by the kitchen so overall this was not a nice experience. It is a shame as the building itself is beautiful and has really nice features but it clearly is not being maintained or managed well at all.

Almost too scrawny to pay...

Liked: Staff is honest that this place is absolutely no frills and no special favours. They did offer a late checkout.
Disliked: Extremely cramped space with suitcase laid out in the front hall if you got there for an earlier than usual check in and your room was not ready. Felt a bit insecure.

Liked: Location was very convenient and the room was clean.
Disliked: Pictures are different from the actual rooms, couldn’t close the windows, the shower knob was falling off and you need to leave your room card when leaving. No point in taking breakfast included.

Passable

Liked: It was convenient for what I wanted to do.
Disliked: The room was very cramped. No tea making equipment. No USB sockets. Very poor quality breakfast with no fruit available.
