My Place Hotel-Council Bluffs/Omaha East IA, Council Bluffs

Be aware of no continental breakfasts and if you're diabetic, check the menu to see if there is anything you can eat, otherwise it's a great place to sleep.

Liked: Very clean and beds were comfortable.
Disliked: Was expecting a nice continental breakfast. Had to find a grocery store, get cereal because there were no cooking utensils to use the stove. There was nothing in the room service food for a diabetic.

Great value. Make sure you...

Liked: It was clean, it was well-located, and best of all, it was really inexpensive for what you got. No breakfast option exercised.
Disliked: Both bed frames squeaked, one to the point that the person in it had to lie smack dab in the middle (on the "hump" area of a queen bed to keep from waking everyone else up all night! (Other stays have not have that problem.)

Charged by Booking and MyPlace...

Liked: It was clean and cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The coffee was great. The staff was very helpful and provided what we needed. We asked for bowls and spoons and they quickly responded. It smelled clean. It was nice and quiet after a full day of traveling. It had a full kitchen and ice maker you could turn on.
Disliked: The bathtub had marks on it that we discovered were chips and not dirt. There were no utensils although there was a full kitchen. The TV remote didn't work but my husband finally got it to work. The recliner looked a little worse for the wear. I was charged by Booking.com and the hotel for the stay. I am now in a credit card dispute with Booking.com and MyPlace and have spent 1/2 on the phone with both companies and had to finally have my credit card dispute it for me because they were not willing to resolve the double charge for me!! Don't use this hotel or Booking.com unless you have endless hours to dispute double charges by Booking and the MyPlace. I have used Booking.com for many years and am very sad that I have been treated this way by them. I have too many options to be treated this way!
