Exceptional

Started badly but Rosa totally...

Liked: Room decor was lovely, bed very comfy, sheets high quality, (free) breakfast very good!
Disliked: Unfortunately we arrived 1730hrs cold and tired from a day hillwalking and desperate for hot showers… the room was cold (although a fan heater had been provided), bathroom very cold and despite running the taps for over 10 minutes only got a small amount of warm water through the shower - enough for one quick shower and hair wash.. it ran out before my partner could shower and he ended up boiling the kettle to fill the sink. Because we had taken clothes off and were cold and wet from trying to get water through the shower we didn’t call reception…we just wanted to get clean and go out for something to eat. The hairdryer kept cutting out after 40 secs and only ‘reset’ after a couple of minutes each time so drying hair took ages as well! No one was at reception when we went out for dinner but it would have been too late to do anything by that time. In the morning the water was nice and hot! We hadn’t booked breakfast but when we went to check out, we told Rosa about our experience and she was LOVELY and sympathetic, insisted we stay for breakfast on the house, was very attentive and presented us with a wee box of chocolates and a promise to upgrade our room if we returned! She couldn’t have been kinder or more friendly!

Overall great experience and comfort....

Liked: We had a beautiful room overlooking the water. Beds were comfortable and room was big. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous, absolutely lovely people. They made us feel like we were staying with friends. Nice selection of food for breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
Disliked: Can’t think of anything that I didn’t like.

Liked: The room was very spacious and comfortable. We had a hot breakfast included that had a great variety of items so very happy with it. Right on the beginning of the main street in Fort William making it easier to get to shops and the centre. Very happy with this and recommend it.
Disliked: I really don't have anything that I can say i didn't like. only stayed for a day so cant comment on the rest of the food they serve.

Absolutely Terrible

Liked: The Hotel was in a central locationThe room was clean
Disliked: The female Manager was an unpleasant person The same Manager appeared at our bedroom door at 11 o’clock at night, stating that there was a smoking alarm, raised in the foyer, both my wife and myself are non smokers.There was shouting, and arguing and children crying outside the bedroom in the hall, which resulted in very poor sleep.The booking clearly stated that the cooked breakfast was a buffet, this was not the case on the Saturday morning, when we were advised that the cooked breakfast was in fact a one item per serving
