Good value for money, correct...

Liked: Solid music atmosphere that lives up to the name, I enjoyed my stay in a room of two to avoid too much snoring noises. My roommate was very considerate, and the room was nicely clean. Prices are very fair for the location.
Disliked: Plugs are not located in the pods, and are located in inconvenient locations. Staff appeared to be overbooked, and it took an hour before they noticed some kind of alarm ringing up in upper floors, had to go tell them myself two times before someone decided to act upon it.

Super comfortable for the rest...

Liked: The room&bed was super comfortable and well equipped. Kinda like a capsule hotel in Japan. Restrooms are enough because there are both private & public ones. The common area is a little bit small but with sofa and tea coffee. The location is good for the daytime especially if you take the cable bus. The hostel is part of the building which is also part of the music studio, you can hang around the building and listen to the songs through QR codes on the wall beside the historical band pictures.
Disliked: The first thing, you only can get the breakfast through other ways. Second , the voucher and information mentioned via system email is outdated. You have to book in advance for the music tour otherwise you will only have self guided tour which is good though but below the expectation (as I book here for the tour). The location is not safe enough for the night if you walk from the union square to the hostel.

Pleasant

Liked: Cool themed room and the bed was comfortable. The guitar and the amp in the room are unique and a nice feature.
Disliked: The door ended before the button, so there was light and noise coming in from the hallway. The WORST part was the toilet. It's totally fine to have shared bathrooms but one of the two toilet seats was not acceptable. The toilet bowl was not fix on the ground anymore and the seat was too small. One shower almost had no water, it felt like a coffee machine. Minus 2-3 stars just for that.On the side, too many messages before and after the stay on multiple channels. One message for important information before the stay is fine but not 5-6 on different channels.

Wanted a capsule for privacy,...

Liked: Capsule provides good privacy, close to many sites
Disliked: No AC in the room-- SF is going through a heatwave and it was 80+ degrees in the room (more than 28 C), and the capsule was even hotter. There were 4 beds in the room but only 3 lockers. The bathrooms are shared gender. The floors were really gross. The location is not somewhere you want to walk at night, or even during the day. I saw people shooting up on some hard drugs all over this area. As a small woman I felt really unsafe in this area. I've stayed in hostels all over the world and this one didn't hold up.
