Disliked: Kitchen nicely done up but a very rusty fridge which needed replacing

Budget-friendly with a great location,...

Liked: Albert Motor Lodge offers a basic, budget-friendly option that’s great for a short stay. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, which added to the experience. The location is excellent—central for concerts at Eden Park and conveniently next to the train station. Being woken up by a Tui was a delightful surprise, especially in an urban area. The beds were okay, and for the price, it offers decent value for money.
Disliked: The motel is a bit dated and could use some improvements. Issues like mould in the bathroom, dirt on the skirting boards, rusty light fittings, and a swimming pool full of leaves were disappointing. While the room was superficially clean, it would benefit from a deep clean and maintenance updates. These changes would greatly enhance the overall experience.

Liked: Convenient location for walks around the district and multiple affordable places for dinner just around the corner.
Disliked: Had everything we needed for a one night stay.

Nice motel Auckland

Liked: The room was nice and comfortable, not far from the city center. The neighbourhood was quiet.
Disliked: The parking was a little small, meaning we couldn't alwayd get a space, and it was not easy to manoeuvre inside.

Fun time at Coldplay but...

Liked: Close to concert venue and train station but that was about the only good thing.
Disliked: Very disappointed with the state of the unit. Desperately needs a face-lift. Has potential to be a great motel if they tried to tidy it up. Carpets were all stained, bedspreads stained, sheets were moderately ok, mouldy shower curtain, mouldy windows, broken bread knife taped up with black tape, hot water runs out pretty quick. Lamp shades falling apart. Pictures on the website are definitely deceiving. Not much positive things to report unfortunately.

Value for money, perfect for...

Liked: Tidy and comfortable, close to the train for our concert at Mt Eden, lovely staff.
