Liked: We received a friendly welcome to the hotel when we checked in and were given complementary drinks vouchers which was a nice surprise.

Great location for city centre

Liked: Lovely reception area. Bedroom was well laid out. Bathroom/shower excellent. Great location
Disliked: No slip mat in the shower. No flat pillows so had to use bath towel to get the right height, two pillows were too big, one was not enough. When talking to staff member on check out, there was not much sympathy. Room was soundproof except for the door, we were right opposite the lift so heard the lift bell alot. Having mentioned I was celebrating a birthday weekend no reference was made regarding this

Disliked: Scaffolding outside the window. Work men working from 8am in the morning directly outside the window. Lights under the bed illuminating the room whenever the duvet moved an inch. Dust everywhere. Scratches on the tables.

Liked: The staff were so very friendly .terrific atmosphere in main lobby area .also received a complementary drink .would definetly return .a credit to the wonderful city of York .thank you all very much .
