Comfortable rooms and close to...

Liked: Friendly staff and clean room and facilities.
Disliked: The only thing which we felt we needed was a small fridge.

Very good

Liked: Bar was great and reasonably priced. The lighting that kicked in under the bed when you got up in the night was a game changer! Wasn't bright enough to wake anyone but made sure you didn't walk into anything.
Disliked: The breakfast situation was terrible. There wasn't enough space for everyone and it wasn't very organised. No one checked if we'd paid for breakfast. We went for breakfast the 2nd day outside of the hotel.

Modern and comfortable.

Liked: Decent location, within walking distance to the City centre. Good transport links. Comfortable hotel with good, modern facilities. Room was nice as was the bathroom.
Disliked: The shower wash was empty and wasn't checked before our stay or during the course of our stay. The breakfast was expensive for what was on offer. Food appeared to sit around for a long time and staff were slow to replenish items which had run out.

Quirky, good value hotel, 15...

Liked: Quirky hotel, fun touches around the place. I had sent a note that a family member was joining us later as a surprise and for it not to be mentioned at check in, but it was… luckily the other family member was not within earshot. Room was a nice but a bit small with no wardrobe. Location ok, about fifteen minutes walk from Grassmarket. Overall a nice stay and good value for money.
