First and definitely last stay...

Liked: It has a fun and funky vibe.
Disliked: Very, very loud. Impossible to sleep. In stead of wasting money on automatic blinds that were broken, invest in light and sound blocking curtains, it is Times Square! The room door has a large window, again light and sound allows you to hear all of the drunk guests coming home at 2 am and 4am. Room is minimalistic and set up poorly, try’s to be functional but fails. 3 pillows on bed?? The elevator system was a complete fail. Maybe would work better if 1/2 card readers were functional. The rooftop bar is ridiculous. Poor view, $5 coat check for hotel guests, $12 beer, techno music, and sketchy clientele. No coffee maker in room. Coffee is only available from 7am to 10am in the lounge. Bring your own hairdryer the in room hairdryer is cheap and leaves you frizzy. The room was always extra hot and humid even though it was 30 degrees F outside. This is not a hotel for anyone who is an experienced traveler looking for a comfortable hotel. Definitely geared towards 20 something’s looking to party.

Liked: The whole look and vibe....quirky but cool...perfect location within walking distance of many of New Yorks attractions....major train hub no more than 5 mins away ....airport to train,train to hotel...easy
Disliked: Expensive enough for food in the cafe, for a quick bite and drink, for what was available in the morn....sorry

Easy location with Penn Station...

Liked: Location was very convenient, and the staff was super friendly. The location was super easy to get to from JFK and an easy walk to the theaters.
Disliked: The music from Magic Hour was super loud in our room. Also we couldn’t have our blinds up because the windows looked directly into the rooms across the way. At least the people were friendly and waved.

Liked: It was a great location very walkable. Even though it was maid service every other day we had it every day
Disliked: Honestly maybe a little more festive decorations in the front of the hotel since its the season. and maybe a tiny coffee maker in the room

Happy, vibrant holiday in a...

Liked: The welcoming from staff, and ongoing friendly feel. The decor and the ‘free’ stash of toiletries as well as daily treats made us feel well cared for.
Disliked: We were in a room with single bunk bed over a double. We had nasty bumps on our heads a few times as the frame is metal. Wondering if a tube or wadding could be used to prevent anyone else having trouble? It’s a bit noisy in the nighttime, not the hotel, traffic and sirens from outside. Not sure what could be done to prevent this though. Didn’t bother me, but my husband and daughter had hardly any sleep at all.
