Liked: Nice, spacious condos with everything you need for a quick trip. Great location and friendly staff.
Disliked: A little dated, also the pool and other amenities closed at 6 p.m.

Very nice town but totally...

Liked: Location was great, the area is really beautiful and peaceful. It's a short drive from Big Trees State Park, and is far enough from highway 4 to be quiet at night. There's a thermostat which works well.
Disliked: I almost never write reviews, but this one made me so disappointed that here I am. Chronologically:We told them days in advance that we'd arrive close to midnight, and they said it was fine. When we got there lights were off in every building and took us a while to find an envelope in the mailbox with instructions - they could've given me some instructions earlier which would spare us time and stress.I found 2 live spiders inside the bathroom, and a dead one at the window. There was also an used sock on the patio, and used towels between the sofa edge and a cushion. Some towels they provided had stains on them. These things made us feel like we were staying in some bad cheap motel and significantly ruined our stay.As a cherry on top, they do not provide tooth brush and tooth paste - when I requested at the clubhouse they told me to go to the store and get it, acting as if I was asking some luxurious item and gave no apology or anything of the sort. This was also quite disappointing because the nearest shop with a tooth paste was quite a drive.

Disliked: Flies - lots of flies when we checked in. We killed over 20 on checkin day. Next morning we went out to explore and thought we killed all flies. When we returned in the afternoon there were even more flies. We called front desk but they couldn’t do anything because the maintenance person had left for the day. So we kill a ton more until we gave up. We know the people before us had the same issue because the window blinds were messed up from hitting them when killing the flies, as we did. This is the second time we haves stayed here but didn’t have any issues on our first stay there.

Loved this location, but sadly...

Liked: We have stayed here numerous times in the last 20 years. We enjoy paddleboarding and kayaking in the nearby lakes and so the location close to those and also to the town of Arnold is a draw. We loved how the condos are nestled in the trees and the spaciousness of the units. We especially enjoyed the access to the clubhouse pool across the street, but the pool is no longer available and the property has deteriorated substantially.The bedding was clean and the mattress was comfy. The kitchen had all the basics necessary for cooking just as in the past, but the inside of the drawers were not clean and the cabinets had leftover spills running down them.
Disliked: 1-The indoor pool inside their office/lounge area is super tiny. They no longer have access to the pool across the street owned by the golf course. That was the real draw for us in the past. We asked if we could cancel when we found that out upon arrival and Heather said she would ask the manager, Chrissy, in the morning. She said 'you can go to your room and get on the internet to check other properties and come back in the am to let us know what you decide. We went to the room and there was no wifi access/ no internet. We were so tired from the long drive we just unpacked and decided to make the best of it. To be fair, we believe Heather wanted to help us, overall the staff was very gracious as they have been in the past.2- We had spotty and many times, no internet, our entire stay of 4 nights.3 - The a/c did not have enough power to cool off the upstairs area where the bedrooms are. We tried opening windows and they were broken, would not stay open. We finally found a way to prop them open.4- The entire unit was very dusty and in need of deep cleaning and updates. It was scary how much dirt i saw when I dropped something and had to look under the bed. The carpets were stained and the furniture dingy, even the patio chairs were rusted. Windows were filthy, blinds broken. We were happy the weather was nice enough to just sit outside.5- No cable in the main room (where there is good a/c).You can only watch cable on a smaller screen upstairs from your bed (where it is too hot in summer to want to hang out).
