Liked: amazing property with view of mountains and Kent pond , large sitting areas, hot tub outside and sauna inside, restaurant on site, breakfast was yummy and included, friendly staff for advice on nearby places
Disliked: room temperature too hot compares to thermostat programmed temperature does not seem to lower temp

Wonderful lodge, great staff

Liked: The staff were lovely, really inviting. They made us feel like family and shared their activities on the lake with us. Room was clean and they had good facilities.
Disliked: It was all great.

Will be nice, one day.

Liked: The hotel was very nice and the location was superb. Room was good and clean.
Disliked: I liked the hotel and I booked it as the highlight of our trip thinking it would be a cut above the rest, the price definitely was. The idea was to relax, have some nice meals, walks...etc.Unfortunately when we were there I do not think it was really firing on all cylinders. The bar and restaurant were not open on the first night, and only opened briefly on the second night with limited menu and staff.The staff did not seem to know what they were doing and seemed a little ad-hoc. My understanding was that the hotel was going through a change of ownership at the time. Not good for those who have spent our hard earned money to get second rate service.

Liked: The lodge is amazing. Very cozy and welcoming, clean and well maintained. The room is also great, new, and very clean. The innkeeper is very nice and welcoming. We also ate dinner in the lodge restaurant, and it was really tasty. The lake is magnificent.
Disliked: There was one weird problem with the room. We could hear very loudly the footsteps of the guest in the room above us, as if the ceiling is about to fall. It was sooo loud, that we woke up each morning in 6:30am (because the guest above us also woke up & started walking in his room). This was kind of annoying.

Beautiful cozy lodge

Liked: Beautiful location on Appalachian trail. Took canoes and kayaks out right out back. Friendly staff and pretty rooms. Very yummy chocolate chip cookies always at the front desk
Disliked: We stayed at this property before and the breakfast was definitely not as good this time. O my fresh fruit were apples and they were not even locally sourced and it was apple picking season. Our room was 84 degrees and we had to go to the desk so they could reset the computer. Apparently they control the temp. No dry wood for fire.

Beautiful, peaceful place

Liked: Beautiful place, perfectly located to discover Vermont. Loved the outdoors, with a fire at night, amazing spot at the lake to read and a nice hike to waterfalls just on the property. Breakfast was oke, but I really loved it when you could order from the menu (pancakes, French toast,...) which was not always available.
Disliked: Rooms were not really sound proof and I thought the place was too expensive.

Disliked: We were bummed the bar was not open.
